Remember when green was just a color? These days it’s much more than that. It’s a movement and a lifestyle that we’ve adopted here at Ward’s Auto Painting & Bodyworks.

The world around us is continually changing, and by going green we hope that we can help it change for the better. That’s why we’ve been taking steps to upgrade our facilities and practices to not only correspond with new regulations, but go above and beyond the standard.

Recycle

Check out some of the ways Ward’s Auto helps protect the environment:

Recycling

Ward’s Auto Painting and Bodyworks receives a staggering amount of deliveries, most of which are wrapped in plastic and cardboard. This is the norm for many companies in our industry. However, rather than dispose of this myriad of boxes and plastic wrapping we recycle them.

Filtration

When painting a vehicle, toxic chemicals build up. For decades, the majority of these chemicals were released out into the atmosphere, causing irreversible damage to the surrounding environment. At Ward’s Auto Painting and Bodyworks in Savannah, Georgia we go green by enclosing our painting booth with ceiling AND floor filters that keep chemicals from being released into the environment. These are then further filtrated by a complex, top-of-the line in-house system.

Disposal

Any tinges of leftover paint in the containers we use are stored in an airtight drum. When the drum is filled to the brim it is sealed a final time and picked up and disposed of by a licensed, environmentally friendly waste disposal company. Disposed of incorrectly, these tiny bits of paint and other chemicals could seep into the ground, poisoning water sources, killing plants, harming animals, and upsetting the general eco system.

Ward’s Auto Painting & Bodyworks in Savannah cares about our environment and believe that our customers deserve the peace of mind that comes with having their car treated by an environmentally friendly company. Together we can lessen our carbon footprint and take steps towards a better, more sustainable way of doing business and living life.
